ECN-2 Processing
ECN-2 processing is a specialized technique used in film development to achieve vibrant colors and accurate tones. Its film is a motion picture film that is rolled into regular 35mm canisters but is actually movie film. Like you would see in many blockbuster movies today. The film is different than regular C-41 film in that it needs different chemicals as well as having a black backing (rem layer) that needs to be removed before processing. If your roll says ECN-2 on it, this is the correct process for you. Here at Knoxville Film Lab, we are one of only a few labs in the country to use true ECN-2 processing, unlike other labs that use C-41 chemistry and then adjust the white balance. The chemistry in ECN-2 processing brings out the true colors of the film to produce truly unique photos. ECN-2 processing brings out the best in your film, delivering professional-grade images that captivate audiences.
